Welcome to E-M Band Website and our first newsletter.  In our efforts in trying to keep our community informed this website will accomplish many of our goals of communication and spreading to the world how great our students are at E-M.  Thanks goes to everyone in attendance at the Band/Parent meeting last week in preparation for the Chicago Tour.  After careful consideration we have decided to have a non-refundable $50 fee due by January 15 for all participants in the Chicago Tour.  Please remember that we need all the forms in by November 23.  If you are interested in being a sponsor, please stop by and pick up the forms to fill out.  We need 64 students and sponsors to attend the tour to keep our costs at $404 a piece. 

Everything has been going pretty well.  We have been preparing for the Wayne and UNO Honor Bands with audition tapes beginning over the next couple of weeks.  Please check the announcements page for details.  We are excited with amount of students showing interest in participating in these prestigious events and are very hopeful many will benefit from their hard work.  Class C State Auditions will be handed out the week of the 14th.  Students have 2 excerpts to prepare and 2 scales.  We have many fine musicians who should consider this opportunity to participate in an All-State atmosphere.  The audition tapes will need to be completed by January 20th.  We hope to keep the web page up to date and full of helpful information.  We also plan on streaming video and audio of our performances and even some of the class sessions to help the parents understand what we do in class, and our to showcase our continued improvement.  Keep checking the web page for announcements, and timely information about the program and student obligations/needs.
