This is a web site about the Junior High Quiz Bowl. At the top of the page there are the meets, home page, and the participants. The Elmwood-Murdock Quiz Bowl is in the ECNC conference of Nebraska.

Rules

Quiz bowl is kind of like a game show were there is a judge and 2 teams. They ask you all sorts of different questions about different things. The rules of quiz bowl are that there is a room with 2 teams and 4 people on each team. If you have more than 4 people on a team, than you have to rotate one person out. There is a question asker in the front of the room that asks the questions. Once the question is asked, it is free to any participating person to answer the question correctly. To get to answer, all you have to do is buzz in before any other contestant, but be careful... if you get it wrong then nobody on your team can answer, only the other team can. If your team gets the toss up question right, then they get 10 points. Once you get a toss up question you get a bonus question. The bonus question is worth 5 points and can be talked over by your team. The team that did not get the toss up question right may not answer the bonus question. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. If the question asker makes a mistake or there is a bad call, then the captain of the opposing team can say ”Protest”. If the game is tied at the end of the game, the team's captain that said “Protest” wins!!!
