Journal

Every Friday, the students are asked to complete a journal entry for their Second Grade Journals.  The entries are answers to a question or suggestion given to the students by Mrs. O.  Sometimes it is a response to a story covered that week in class, other times it is a seasonal topic, such as Christmas plan, Halloween costume etc..  Mrs. O. reviews the Journal entry and she response to each student, to help stimulate ideas and keep the writer thinking!!

All journal entries are collected and saved for the students in a three ring binder.  They take these binders home at the end of the quarter, to share with parents, and then return them to class for further entries.  At the end of the year, the students will be able to keep the binder as a reminder of all their hard work in second grade!
