Dear Second Grade Family,We are getting into the winter spirit with a reading incentive unit called, "The Great Snowball Book Blitz." Your child is in competition with him/herself by trying to read more pages than in the Read to Win program. Our Classroom is also in competition with the other second grade classroom by collecting as many snowballs as possible during the month of January. Each book read earns one snowball. The Take-home booklets may count as a book. We're also keeping track of the pages read. A worksheet of four snowballs will go home each week. Children may ask for more if they need them. Please help children fill out the information, cut them out, and return them on Friday. Then the snowballs will go up on our bulletin board. At the end of the program, we will celebrate with the other second grade. Thank you for your support. |
