Tested on many things to see how much we have learned this year
Sounded out and wrote big words
Finished reading Expert Books-we read 212 books!
Practiced our last poetry notebook poem
Wrote in our writing books about what our favorite thing in KB was
Practiced subtraction
Reviewed addition, money, measuring and time
Watched the talent show
Watched our seeds sprout and grow
Had a fun Beach Day

Reminders to parents:
Your child does not need to return their poetry notebook, but should return their Friday Folder one more time for important papers and report cards next week. Your child is also bringing home a cucumber plant that can be planted in the garden. The whole brown peat pot can be put in the ground, it will eventually dissolve.

Make sure that your child brings their backpack both days next week as we will have lots of stuff to take home!

Next Monday will be Field Day in the afternoon. The kids should dress appropriately--tennis shoes for running, hats and sunscreen. They may also bring water bottles that can be filled here if they wish, but remind the kids that they will have to be responsible for and carry their own water bottles. Anyone is welcome to attend. It is a fun afternoon for all.

Things to work on at home:
Your child has a packet of work they can do over the summer to review all that they have learned-we don’t want them to forget everything! If they return it to me completed when we start in the fall they will get a treat!
