Free Midi Org -
We have tried a few times to obtain permission to use the songs listed in the email, below, on our website.
Since we need to submit the website for competition and since we have not heard back from you, we are going to use the songs.
We evaluated the usage of these songs according to the “fair use” guidelines published on the Stanford Copyright and Fair Use website at http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyright_and_Fair_Use_Overview/chapter9/9-b.html.
We believe we are justified in using these songs based on the four factors related to fair use.
If you do agree and do not want us to use these songs on our website, please let us know and we will immediately remove the songs.
Thanks!

>We are students at the Elmwood-Murdock High School in Murdock, Nebraska. We are working on a website that will be entered into a National FBLA competition during May/June of this year. FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. This website will have a limited viewing audience and is only used for educational purposes.
>
>The website is designed to show an "Annual Business Report" for our FBLA Chapter activities. The theme is "The Road to Your Success." Towards that end, we would like permission to use several of your MIDI files that have music about roads on our web pages. Given your permission, your songs would be used as background music for the website.
>
>The songs we are requesting permission to use are:
>
>- James Taylor - Country Road
>- Willie Nelson - On the Road Again
>- Beatles - Abbey Road
>- Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
>- King of the Road
>- Doors - Roadhouse Blues
>- Ray Charles - Hit the Road Jack
>- Sheryl Crow - Every Day is a Winding Road
>- Beatles - The Long and Winding Road
>
>With your permission, we will use these songs and credit the http://www.freemidi.org/ website on our Permissions page. Please let us know if we have permission to use your songs in the manner described.
>
>In advance, we thank-you for the use of your work and for your time responding to our question.
