The festivities started with a movie, “Brother Bear,” shown at Flying Wheels Roller Rink. The Tree Lighting Ceremony followed at the city park. The town crier announced the pending arrival of the Christmas Princesses and Holiday Elves, who listened to children’s Christmas wishes. A soup supper was served by the Merchants’ Association.

Get Out and Vote

Get Out and Vote

Samantha Colbert introduced a new project to the chapter titled, “Get Out and Vote.” In recognition of the 2004 Presidential election, Colbert introduced an activity which would help promote voting in the community. A form was given to members, who were asked to fill it in with contact information of family, friends, relatives, and neighbors who would like to be reminded of the election date. Members contacted those people as the day approached.
