Support of FBLA-PBL national and state projects

The Elmwood-Murdock Chapter of FBLA was involved with the school and community throughout the school year. Members participated in many projects that allowed them opportunities to learn about such things as free enterprise and money management.
 
 
Scholarship Funds

Scholarship Funds

The Elmwood-Murdock Chapter of FBLA recognized the value of providing scholarships by donating $25 to the Nebraska Competency Fellowship Fund and $30 to the National Scholarship Fund.
 
 
Go for the Gold

Go for the Gold

The chapter earned the national “Go for the Gold” in 2004 and anticipates receiving the Business Achievement Award (Outstanding Chapter) at the 2005 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Partnership with Business

Elmwood-Murdock FBLA continues to take an active role in the Elmwood-Murdock Merchants’ Association, which was this year’s partnership with business project. With the help of the merchants, the chapter started an online business entitled KnightVision.
 
 
American Enterprise

American Enterprise

“Safari: An American Enterprise Adventure” was the theme of Elmwood-Murdock FBLA’s American Enterprise project. The project was designed to educate students and community members about American Enterprise. A safari, career fair, and letter to the editor were elements of the project.
 
 
Tally It Up

Tally It Up

This year the members of the Elmwood-Murdock chapter recorded 661 community service hours and reported them to Sarah Rogers, state president, for the state Tally It Up project.
 
 
Sweepstakes Award

Sweepstakes Award

The Elmwood-Murdock FBLA Chapter received the Sweepstakes Award at the 2004 State Leadership Conference. The chapter anticipates receiving the award again this year.

Elmwood-Murdock FBLA joined cyberspace through the development of a web page promoting the chapter’s activities. The link was added to the district’s web site.

Jeff Bolles, Jason Zoz, and Kevin Zoz created a PowerPoint presentation entitled “FBLA: For the Times of Their Lives.”
 
 
Cheer Challenge

Cheer Challenge

The Elmwood-Murdock chapter met with other FBLA CHEER chapters (Waverly, Ashland-Greenwood, Gretna, and Conestoga) on January 27 at Waverly High School. The activities included FBLA Bingo, a mini-business competition, and a guest speaker.
